I found this yellow flower on the ground today – it's so perfect despite the winter mud and rain, pedestrians, and several hours in a handbag! I don't understand how it can not have been trampled into the mud or squished in my bag…perfection has survived!
Sometimes it is lovely to be reminded that beauty does not always take the form we expect…the shape of this flower is quite odd really, but I was quite struck by its vibrant colour and delicate arrangement
Before I came to the Bretagne (Brittany to English speakers) region of France, I didn’t have any idea of the extent of the range of colours that Hydrangeas could be! The locals of Bretagne really seem to know how to grow them however, for they put on the most magnificent displays around their homes…
Visited the Chateau de Josselin today…we were only allowed to see four rooms because the rest of the castle is a family home! I wouldn’t mind a flower garden with a view this good myself…
One of the best things about France is that it’s citizens can get away with painting old buildings just about any colour they like! Combined with all the flowers, these houses and shops make such cute towns x
Another year finds me back in the country I love…France…the flowers are beautiful, and not in many places can you frame a flower shot so that it has a chateau or ruined cathedral in the background! The next month will see a wealth of new flower photos, and basically anything cute that I see xx
Lucky me stumbled upon an almost perfect fairy toadstool today – it looks almost like it was taken right out of a story book! If not for the chunk out of their roof, some very happy fairies would live here x
