So many of our Indigenous flowers here in Australia have such beautiful, vibrant colours such as the red bottle-brush style flowers that grow everywhere along the Victorian coastline.
Then there are the flowers that we so often forget: vegetable or fruit flowers. Whilst wandering through a community garden, I couldn’t help but notice that so many of the herb and vegetable plants produced the most beautiful flowers! Even the bees had noticed how pretty they were…does anyone know what plant this is that produces such a pretty flower?
Spines, thorns and prickly leaves may not be our typical idea of beauty, but some of the flowers here in Australia seem to manage having all of the above, and still look stunning! Here are some photos of the beautiful pink flowers I spotted whilst out in the rainforests today x
In light of all the Star Wars hype, here is an R2D2 I made for a friend of mine who is an avid fan of the Jedi and their companions…he may not be strictly accurate, but he’s pretty cute!
They may not quite be flowers, but the vegetation of the Australian bush is so beautiful to explore on a slow summer day after the New Year!
